Encouragement — Awaiting His Arrival — 1 Thessalonians 5.1-3…Handout

The Day of the Lord, Christ’s return will be a time of _______ and separating. The Rapture is discussed by Paul in 1 Thessalonians 4:13-17. (NIV) The stars_______ from the sky could be a description of an exchange of nuclear weapons. However, this is just speculation. What we know is there will be great and horrible distress. 2 Thessalonians 1:9~They will suffer punishment, eternal destruction, away from the presence of the Lord…(ESV) They’ll suffer not only during the_________, but also for all eternity in the lake of fire. (Revelation 20:14-15) 

2) It will happen_____________ (5:2b-3c) Like a thief in the night, the Lord will return. 1 Thessalonians 5:3~ While people are saying, There is peace and________, then suddenly…(ESV) This describes an attitude, that the world will have, not a particular time. They were marrying, which means they were going about their daily lives undisturbed by the____________. Matthew 24:44~So you also must be ready…(ESV) 1 Thessalonians 5:3~While people are saying …_______& security, sudden destruction will come…and they will not escape. (ESV) Apparently, the word they refers to non-believers left behind at the Rapture. God always protects his children. Noah and his family got into the _______.
